Iva Pearl Jones Howell aged 91 of Kremlin, VA went home to her Lord God on April 19, 2016. Iva was the last surviving child of Laura and Luther Jones being 1 of 9 children. Iva was born on July 12, 1924 in Baynesville, VA where she was raised. Iva married Joseph Carroll Howell in 1952 and remained in that union until he passed in 1983. Iva leaves to cherish her memory her children, Barbara Jean Jones (Johnny), Joseph C. Howell and friend Allen Elledge, Annie L. Caldwell and friend Norma Sanford, Iva Joan Howell and Vivian J. Binelli (Frank). Iva also leaves to cherish her memory 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and a multitude of friends. Iva is also survived by 2 sisters-in-law Mamie Jones and Elizabeth Conner. Iva was predeceased by 2 grandsons, Gary Wade Coates and Curtis Wade Caldwell whom she loved dearly. Iva’s family deeply mourn this loss but are strong in their faith of The Lord. Viewing will take place at The Welch Funeral Home, 17546 Kings Highway in Montross, VA on Friday April 22 from 6 – 8 pm. A visitation will also take place on Saturday, April 23 from 12 noon to 1 pm at Beulah Baptist Church, 130 Beulah Lane, Warsaw, VA.
Service of comfort will follow with Pastor Don Zampogna and Pastor Jon Davis delivering messages of home going and comfort. Musical selection will be performed by Ricky Wilkins. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to all who visited Iva and shared love, prayers and comfort for this wonderful mother, relative and friend who now walks with God.
