Condolence From: Thelma King Elmore

Condolence: Doris will be missed immensely by our mother, Thelma (King) Elmore. Doris was our mother's oldest friend, and she, hers. They met as small children, born within a year of each other. They grew up together, went to Callao school and graduated together. They kept in touch over their long lifetimes as their life's chapters played out. There are seldom friendships that last in living over 90 years. Our mother is both saddened that final chapter in friendship is now closed, but ever grateful Doris was part of her life. God will take our now 91 year old mother home soon too but there is a peace in knowing that these two friends will start a new chapter in God's home.

Condolence From: Betty Garner Millward

Condolence: I was saddened to hear the passing of Doris, such a lovely person. Doris and Lut were our neighbors of my Mom and we grew up by them, the best people. My next thought after hearing this was how happy I knew Lut was that his lovely wife was coming home to be with him once again. I know heaven's angles were singing praises and Lut was leading the choir. Rest in peace and remain together forever. God bless you both. Betty and family. Callao Va.

Condolence: It is with heartfelt sympathy to hear of the passing of Doris. She was such a lovely lady and so sweet and gracious. My Dad loved all his family. Every Christmas she would always send me a card thinking of me just like her sisters would do. Now it is time for her to rest. God bless.
